Trevor Weerwind. Lawyer
Disciplined, positive, and highly focused on collaboration: this is how Trevor describes himself best. With his practical approach, analytical mindset, and enjoyment of teamwork, he strengthens our team in insolvency law and corporate law.
After completing secondary school (VWO), Trevor began his studies at Radboud University Nijmegen. He quickly realized that a more practice-oriented approach suited him better. He found this at the Juridische Hogeschool, where he spent four years developing his legal skills, teamwork, and professional conduct. He then completed a pre-master and the Master in International Business Law in Tilburg, which he finished in 2024. During this master’s program, Trevor worked on projects addressing legal issues for large (international) companies. His thesis focused on the impact of the MiCA regulation on SMEs, including a legal comparison with the United Kingdom.
During and after his studies, Trevor gained broad work experience. He completed internships at consultancy firms in financial advisory and at a startup platform for entrepreneurs. After graduation, he worked full-time as a legal associate specializing in commercial contracts. At Watsonlaw, Trevor deliberately chose a broader practice, with room to work in insolvency law and general corporate law, to further develop his career in the legal profession.
What brought Trevor to Watsonlaw is his clear ambition to become an attorney. He aims to develop his knowledge broadly, assist clients effectively, and deliver work he can be proud of. Continuous learning, helping others, and enjoying his work are central to his approach.
In his free time, Trevor is highly active in sports. He practices crossfit, running, cycling, and triathlon, and regularly participates in competitions. His colleagues describe him as helpful, reliable, and positive, someone who is always ready to support others and strives to bring out the best in himself and those around him.
